Away from the City

Do you enjoy staying at an Airbnb or hotel? My wife and I fell in love with finding Airbnb off-grid. Our go-to atmosphere is usually a cabin in the mountains surrounded by nature. Recently we had the opportunity of staying on a farm/ranch near Lake Elsinore, CA. The highlight of this particular home was the animals on the property. They had chickens, ducks, pigs, horses, goats, and dogs.

When we first read about how many animals there were on the property we thought, “how could this be a peaceful place”? Let me tell you, it was. The nights were quiet, and early mornings were calm. We slept with the windows open to wake up to the sounds of the rooster. How cool is that?!

I love documenting these kinds of places so that I can share what I’ve experienced with my viewers. I hope to capture moments that transfer the viewer to that space and time. I shot with my Leica M10 and Leica M4-P. The images below were from the M10.

I hope this story and these images inspire you to go out and explore someplace new. Even if it’s in the same state as where you live. ✌🏾

If you’re interested in this particular Airbnb, let me know and I’ll send you a link. *Not sponsored
